ELENA URIOSTE

Violinist ELENA URIOSTE, a BBC New Generation Artist (2012-14) and first-place laureate of the Sphinx Competition has given acclaimed performances with the Philadelphia, Cleveland, and Minnesota Orchestras; LA and New York Philharmonics; Boston Pops; the Chicago, Boston, National, Atlanta, Baltimore, Detroit, and Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestras; the London Philharmonic, Hallé, Philharmonia, Royal Liverpool Philharmonic, Malaysia Philharmonic, and Chineke! Orchestras; and the BBC Symphony, BBC Philharmonic, BBCSSO, and BBC NOW. She has performed in Carnegie Hall’s Stern Auditorium, Wigmore Hall, Weill Recital Hall, Kennedy Center, and Konzerthaus Berlin. A graduate of the Curtis Institute and the Juilliard School, Elena (a Kripalu-certified yoga teacher) is the co-founder of Intermission and co-director of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective.

CAITLIN LYNCH

Violist CAITLIN LYNCH’s vibrant musical career has led her to perform across the globe with artists from Itzhak Perlman to Radiohead’s Jonny Greenwood. A member of the Aeolus String Quartet and the Grammy-nominated chamber orchestra A Far Cry, Caitlin has performed with the Cleveland Orchestra, Alarm Will Sound, and with members of the Tokyo, Cleveland, Juilliard, Guarneri, and Cavani Quartets. She is also a member of the American Contemporary Music Ensemble, and performs with Metropolis Ensemble and Wordless Music. Recent highlights include Lincoln Center’s Great Performers Series with the Aeolus Quartet, the Lincoln Center Festival, and BAM’s Next Wave Festival.

KYLE ARMBRUST

KYLE ARMBRUST started playing the viola at age three. Since giving his New York solo debut with Kurt Masur and the Juilliard Orchestra, he has created a multi-dimensional career performing and recording a wide range of music. Kyle is a member of the International Contemporary Ensemble and a founding member of the Knights Chamber Orchestra. A dedicated chamber musician and active collaborator, Kyle has worked with distinct artists such as Laurie Anderson, Yuri Bashmet, Elliot Carter, J. Cole, Herbie Hancock, Lauryn Hill, Vijay Iyer, Yo-Yo Ma, Steve Reich, Kaija Saariaho, Tyshawn Sorey, Anna Thorvaldsdottir, Mitsuko Uchida, and John Zorn. He teaches at Ithaca College.

MICHELLE ROSS

Michelle Barzel Ross is a GRAMMY Award-winning violinist and composer. Highlights include debuts in Carnegie Hall, with the San Francisco Symphony, Orchestre de Chambre de Paris. Michelle recently toured as guest first violinist with the Juilliard String Quartet, Avi Avital and Between Worlds Ensemble, and Musicians from Marlboro. Michelle often collaborates as guest concertmaster, with Orchestre de Paris, Pittsburgh Symphony Orchestra, London Symphony Orchestra, Mahler Chamber Orchestra, and more. Praised for her album of Bach’s Complete Sonatas and Partitas of J.S. Bach, Michelle is a featured artist with Jon Batiste on his GRAMMYTM winning Album of the Year, We Are. As a composer, Michelle’s works are known for their emotional power and imaginative textures. She has been commissioned by Lucerne Festival, Tanglewood Music Center, Juilliard String Quartet, Jasper String Quartet, with recent premieres in Wigmore Hall, MusikVerein, Boulez Saal. Michelle is currently based between Paris and New York City.

TOM POSTER

Pianist TOM POSTER has performed with the BBC Philharmonic, BBC Scottish Symphony, China National Symphony, English Chamber Orchestra, European Union Chamber Orchestra, Hallé, Royal Philharmonic, Scottish Chamber Orchestra, and St. Petersburg State Capella Philharmonic, among others. He features regularly on the BBC and has made many appearances at the BBC Proms. He has appeared at the Concertgebouw and Wigmore Hall, and at the Aldeburgh, Cheltenham, City of London, Edinburgh, and Spoleto Festivals. Tom has recorded for Decca, EMI, and Warner Classics, and regularly features on film and TV soundtracks, including The Theory of Everything. Tom studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama and at King’s College, Cambridge, and is the founder and co-director of the Kaleidoscope Chamber Collective.

TONY RYMER

Cellist TONY RYMER has performed as a soloist with the Atlanta Symphony, Boston Pops, Cleveland Orchestra, Detroit Symphony, and Pittsburgh Symphony, and is a first-prize winner of the Washington International Competition and the Sphinx Competition Senior Division. Tony began playing cello at age five, attended the Walnut Hill Arts School, was a Project STEP scholarship student from 1996-2007, and was awarded the prestigious Kravitz scholarship in 2007. An avid chamber musician, Tony has performed at the Marlboro Music Festival, Krzyzowa Music, Leeds International Concert Series, Brooklyn Chamber Music Society, Perlman Music Program, Bard Music Festival, and Ravinia Steans Institute. He completed his BM and MM at the New England Conservatory and received a Masters of Music at the Hanns Eisler Hochschule für Musik.
